The New Britain MLK Corridor continues to move forward.

The New Britain MLK Corridor continues to move forward as New Britain Legacies works alongside residents, community partners, businesses, state leaders and other stakeholders to shape a long-term vision for neighborhoods throughout our city.

Our recent Community Needs Assessment was another important part of that process. We are continuing to gather feedback, review potential properties and development opportunities, and identify priorities around housing, youth and families, workforce development, small businesses, public spaces and community facilities.

The work happening today is about more than one project, one organization or one neighborhood. It is about building infrastructure and creating opportunities that can serve New Britain for generations.

Transparency and community involvement will remain important throughout this process. As plans continue to develop, we want residents to have a direct way to stay informed about upcoming community meetings, needs assessments, project updates and opportunities to participate.
